If you believe that horrible song about the Grinch, then you will miss the point of this wonderful story. He is mean and Grinchy because he is not a part of the town, not because it is just his natural state. If they had ever sought to include him, or if he had ever made it known that he wanted to be included, this whole thing could have been avoided!
That wouldnt be as good a movie, though, so we suppose it is best that things turned out as they did. Plus, it is hilarious to watch him slink around committing the most harmless robberies of all time!
